Genetic Diversity Analysis of Some Upland Cotton (Gossypium hirsutumL.) Genotypes Using SSR Markers

Cotton plant is an important crop cultivated under biotic and abiotic stress conditions worldwide. The best way to avoid the harmful effects of chemicals used combat these stresses develop tolerant or resistant varieties in breeding programs. In present study, some Upland cotton varietieswerescreened with 20 polymorphic SSR primers, their population structure genetic diversity analysis were examined. 17 primers amplified 99 alleles a 5.82 allele per locus. mean PIC value markers was 0.312. highest (0.491) belongs Nau3736 marker while Bnl1611 Bnl3449 had lowest (0.105). Genetic Distance (GD) values varied between 0.26and 1.09. GD Sure Grow 96 Carmen, Sealand-542 Siokra ¼, Sphinx V Stoneville-453 cultivars. As result, genetically distantcultivars (Acala maxxa, Aleppo 40, Tex) can be recommended use as parents Marker-assisted selection (MAS) technology new which are factors.
